Achievements of the Taskforce over the last one year
- Administrative office for the University is located in Arua municipality, along Independent Road, Plot 6.
- Liaison Office has been established in Kampala, Makerere University, Lincoln House A2, courtesy of Makerere University.
- Strategic Plan has been developed. The plan is to set-up a non-elitist university that addresses community needs without loosing the core functions of a model university.
- Several large parcels of land have been secured and handed over to the task force for the development of the proposed University. These are:
- Muni hill, apportioned by National Teachers' College Muni Governing Council, Arua district
- Okollo Site, by Arua District Local Government and Local Community of Endebu , Bidibidi, by Yumbe District Local Government and Community of Yumbe and
- Other parcels of land were promised by Adjumani, Nebbi and Moyo districts and they are yet to be handed over.
- Muni site has already been surveyed others are in the pipeline
- Plans for Physical infrastructure constructions of Faculty of Technosciences at Muni Hill for kick starting teaching and learning in 2012 has been completed and procurement process is in high gear.
