Mr. Paul Emong is Assistant Lecturer at the department of mathematics. He obtained a Master of Science in Mathematics from Makerere University, and a Bachelor of Science Education (Mathematics, Chemistry, and Education) from Busitema University.
Paul is a broadly trained mathematics teacher who has been active in the teaching of mathematics for more than 8 years. He has attended more than 5 international summer schools on both pure and applied mathematics. His research interests focus on building agent-based network models of malaria transmission in order to further the understanding of how the structure of the contact network and their interaction with behavior impacts malaria transmission dynamics, and thereby the distribution of risk across populations.
