Mr. Godfrey Muhwezi is the pioneer Head of Chemistry Department at Muni University, a position he held from 2018 to 2021. In the same period he was also the secretary to the faculty board of the faculty of science. He has also a represented the faculty of education on Muni University academic Staff Association (MUNISA) from 2018-2020.
Godfrey has over ten years of experience as a university teacher, having taught at Ndejje University and Kyambogo University before joining Muni University. He has also taught chemistry at Ntare School and Ndejje senior Secondary School.
He graduated with honors from Mbarara University of Science and Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Education. He also holds a Master of Science in Chemistry from Makerere University. He is currently a chemistry doctoral student at Kyambogo University as part of the Environmental Chemistry for Sustainable Development Project (ECSdevelop), a collaboration between Kyambogo University, Makerere University, Jaramogi Odinga Oginga University in Kenya, and the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences in Boku, Austria.
