Ms. Birungi Aminah is an educationist with specialized training in Early Childhood Care and Teacher Education. She works in the department of Psychology as an Assistant Lecturer of Early Childhood Education. Ms. Birungi has experience of over 15 years working with different Educational Institutions in the country, including Kyambogo University and Kibuli Primary Teachers College. She also lectured in the department of Early Childhood at Oslo Metropolitan University in Norway. She is deeply rooted in Special Needs Education in early childhood, modern pedagogy and research methodology.

She holds a Master in Early Childhood Education of Kyambogo University and is pursuing a PhD in Education specializing in Early Childhood Education at Kyambogo University.

For over ten years Ms. Aminah has trained teachers of pre-primary and primary schools on competence-based assessment, 21st century skills, Literacy instruction, numeracy boost and modern pedagogy. Her research interests are in the areas of Special Needs Education, Teacher Pedagogy and Competence. She has experiences in Early Childhood Curriculum design, Material development for Early Childhood Care and Education, Curriculum Evaluation and assessment, monitoring and support supervision.
She has participated in consultancy work on Teacher Education and Early Childhood Education and Care. She has also conducted several teacher trainings organized by Ministry of Education and Sports, Kyambogo University, National Curriculum Development Centre, Save the Children, Varkey Foundations, Aga Khan Foundation and CECOD Uganda. She is a trainer in Human Centre Design thinking which is cardinal in participatory problem solving for the classroom improvement in teaching and learning which is core for quality education.
